Spokn is one of the latest in a rush of asynchronous communication apps to enter the work tech market. Spokn promises to improve internal communications, employee engagement and learning through audio. Capitalizing on the podcast adoption trend in the world of consumer audio.
The jury is still out as to whether podcasts is a way for leaders to engage the workforce, or if it’s how employees want to learn at work, but one this is certain, we’re going to see more async comms apps enter our space as the business world continues to grapple with communication and collaboration as work is driven by hybrid and distributed teams. Another async provider, Loom, recently announced a $130 million VC round for its work-focused video messaging app.
