As mentioned in our 2019 Global HR Technology VC Lookback, job board models are expanding beyond job and worker matching, and starting to provide training, certification, and other services. As reported in CharlotteInno, “MyWorkChoice offers a mobile application that recruits, screens, trains and schedules potential employees, who can then create a work schedule that best suits their own. The app offers options for four, six or eight-hour shifts, ultimately allowing users to establish up to a 40-hour work week.”
With investors’ continuing healthy appetites for job board marketplaces, we expect to see more models that drive more specialization and incorporating differentiating services for candidates and employers alike.
