Mathison announced a $4.2 million Seed round of venture capital for its diversity recruiting app promising to reduce hiring bias and source diverse talent. This brings its total raised to $6.2 million.
The Mathison solution applies a score to an employer’s hiring process focused on identifying bias and tracking success metrics. It also sources from “hundreds of diversity networks,” and helps recruiters write less biased job descriptions. A model that’s similar to Kanarys, another startup that launched this year.
VC investment is increasing in diversity work tech, however not at the rate that we would expect to see given the importance of the issue and market opportunity.
$2.7 billion was invested globally in work tech during 2021 Q1 alone. Get WorkTech’s free report and analysis here.
