Employee-created video is a powerful form of content for both internal and external audiences. While we’ve seen applications roll out the ability for employees to generate video content within sub-categories (learning, mentorship, internal communications, etc.), we haven’t seen any vendors release a platform that captures the video for use across the employee lifecycle. France-based EasyMovie has been on that path since 2013, and has just raised $5.6 million to take their product to market more aggressively in the U.S.
It’s an interesting value proposition, given the number of apps we’re asking employees to engage with. It seems like there is a case to be made that it would be optimal to have one video app with content shared across audiences.
