Over 16.2 million people are unemployed in Europe, and more than 50% of employees report that they’re dissatisfied with their current jobs. Paris-based HR tech startup CleverConnect‘s goal is to change that, by helping everyone find the job that best suits them.Founded in 2010, the startup has completed a financing round of €5.5 million led by Sofiouest. Until now the company has been self-financed, generating a turnover of €14 million in 2018, which it expects to increase by 40% in 2019.CleverConnect already works with over 2,000 companies through all stages of recruitment, including employer branding, sourcing, CV matching, and video interviews through its platforms Visiotalent, Meteojob and HRmatch. With more than 5 million registered jobseekers, Meteojob is one of France’s main job platforms, using AI to match candidate profiles with job offers.Visiotalent is CleverConnects’ video interviewing platform, where candidates can express themselves beyond the CV and demonstrate their “soft skills”.In 2018, the company also launched HRmatch, a solution that allows companies to automatically and intelligently analyze CVs, identifying the candidates that best fit the vacancies offered.CleverConnect plans to use the financing to invest in research and development, and market its Visiotalent and HRmatch platforms in medium and large companies, both in France and internationally. To support this growth, the company plans to hire more than thirty new employees by the end of 2019.
